Professional Engagements
Whilst at RWCMD Tara performed roles such as ‘Susanna’ in Le Nozze di Figaro and ‘Nannetta’ in Verdi’s Falstaff, directed by Martin Constantine, and the latter conducted by Maestro Carlo Rizzi.

In addition to her vocal abilities, Tara has received ardent acclaim for her character acting and canny stage presence.
In 2014 while studying at DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama and securing a First Class Honours, Tara performed as “Venus” in Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld and “Valencienne” in The Merry Widow at the National Concert Hall. In 2013, Tara took the role of ‘Minnie Fay’ in the Rathmines and Rathgar Musical Society’s Centenary Celebration production of Hello, Dolly! Since then she has also performed with the R&R as ‘Peep-Bo’ in The Mikado and ‘Gianetta’ in The Gondoliers at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin.

In Competition Tara has had many successes both in the Feis Ceoil and conservatoire in-house competitions. In 2013 Tara was chosen as one of five finalists in NI Opera’s Glenarm Festival of Voice singing competition where she had the opportunity to work with Iain Burnside, Kathryn Harries and David Gowland, winning a scholarship to attend a course at the National Opera Studio in the summer of 2014.
Tara is currently preparing for the role of ‘Sophie Scholl’ with Welsh National Youth Opera for Sir Peter Maxwell Davies’ Kommilitonen.
